PXRF, Core Gamma and Other Services

PXRF

Challenger has personnel which are accredited to use XRF equipment in South Australia.

XRF can be used as an initial test to determine element content in samples such as Drill cuttings, core samples and rock samples shown as a reading of Parts per million (ppm).

This can help by determining which samples meet your criteria for lab analysis thus reducing costs.

All XRF readings can be plotted and graphed for ease of use.

Core Gamma

Challenger can provide Clients with the latest technology Core Gamma service based at our Challenger’s City facility.

Core Gamma is the measurement of the natural gamma radiation from a core or rock sample.

It is used to primarily to locate intervals of lost core or depth match cores with the depths recorded while drilling and on the wireline geophysical logs. The surface Core Gamma log of the core is compared to the down hole Gamma log and a best estimate made of depth matching.

Other Services

Challenger can provide further customized services to the Clients needs. Some of these include magnetic susceptibility and specific gravity measurements.
